19 march 2010 - Porto (PT) – Carmo. A Porto museum tram on the recently rebuilt line leading to the upper city. The extent of these new tracks can be seen in the photo. Three public routes are operated, but only run about every 30 minutes between 0900 and 1700, so these aren’t really a serious means of transport but are really just for visitors, who can also ride on a special tourist tram that runs once an hour. Car 191 comes from the excellent museum at Massarelos depot and is an original 1912 American-built Brill. Because of the steep gradients, only two-axle cars are allowed up here.

19 march 2010 - Porto, Carmo: One of the small operating fleet of STCP runs round the Carmo loop on a tourist trip. The remaining tram routes in Porto are concentrated in the old historic city centre and are mostly run for visiting tourists. In former times, this was a large network with up to 400 trams, so is now just a shadow, with only around ten trams fit for service. This car is an original American tram built by Brill in Philadelphia around 1912.

10 may 2007 - Porto, Alameda de Basilio Teles. Młoda motorowa z wagonu 143 na linii 18 właśnie zmienia kierunek jazdy, okrążąjąc tramwaj z opuszczonym odbierakiem. Na zielonej trawce przy zajezdni tramwajowej znajduje się jeden z krańców linii 18. Drugi to już normalna pętla wokół jednego z placów w centrum miasta. Tramwaje w Porto mają swój urok - i do tego jeszcze śliczne motorowe.

11 may 2007 - Porto, Alameda de Basilio Teles. Oto dwie z trzech brygad tramwajowych, kursujących tego dnia w Porto (nie licząc tramwajów "udających" metro). Wagon 143 obsługuje jedyną brygadę linii 18, która z tego miejsca - spod zajezdni tramwajowej - stromą uliczką wspina się do centrum miasta. Wagon w tle - 221 przemierza właśnie trasę linii 1, która w całości biegnie brzegiem rzeki. Obydwie linie kursują co pół godziny - i to dość regularnie - a większość pasażerów stanowią turyści. Same tramwaje - pierwsza klasa. Obok zajezdni znajduje się bardzo ciekawe muzeum tramwajów.

11 may 2007 - Porto, Carmo. Starzutki wagonik ruszył właśnie z pętli Carmo - jedynej w Porto, na której tramwaje nie muszą zmieniać kierunku jazdy. Dojeżdża tutaj wyłącznie linia 18, która kursuje co pół godziny i obsługiwana jest jednym wagonem. Jej trasa prowadzi stąd ostro w dół stromą uliczką nad brzeg rzeki. Drugi kraniec znajduje się przyprzy zajezdni tramwajowej, mniej więcej w połowie trasy linii tramwajowej 1. Pozdrowienia dla widocznego z lewej strony fotografa!
